My dad and I went to lunch today at a new restaurant. It was my first time trying sushi. The restaurant had a tally mark logo. We asked our waitress where they got the name of the restaurant. She said that they weren’t sure but it could have come from a movie called seven, the seven deadly sins, or the seven samurai.The restaurant was really fancy and busy. Some of the bar stools spelled out the word seven which I thought was funny.

We ordered a appetizer of sweet potato fries with balsamic vinegar dipped in wasabi aioli. When the sweet potato fries came out they were stacked like Lincoln Logs. The vinegar added a sweet glaze and the aioli was a little spicy. Overall, the sweet potato fries were really good.

We also ordered 2 sushi rolls. We ordered a Ziggy Stardust with a seaweed outside, tofu, mango, tempura-fried and toasted coconut. I really liked the ingredients in the Ziggy Stardust and the seaweed tasted good. I also liked that the inside was warm and fried. The second roll that we ordered was a Green Dream with yellowtail, Green onions, and red bell peppers. It also came with soy sauce , wasabi and ginger. I thought that the Green Dream roll was interesting to try because I have never tasted yellowtail and this was my first time trying it.

We also got dessert. We got Mochi which is a Japanese ice cream. They had a bunch of flavors but we ordered the green tea and the mango. The Mochi was cut into smaller pieces which you can see below in the pictures. The Mochi was drizzled in honey which tasted interesting and my dad said that he thought that the green tea and the honey worked well together.

Since the name of the restaurant is called seven and because the food was great I would give this place 7 stars. I would go back because I really enjoyed the food and would definitely try it again.
